Cordell Volson Has Been Named MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week Again

North Dakota State senior offensive lineman Cordell Volson has earned his third Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week this season. This is his fourth award of his career.

Volson split time at right tackle and right guard in Saturday’s 44-2 demolition of Indiana State. In two-and-a-half quarters of action he missed zero assignments, sacks, pressures, or tackles allowed for loss.

NDSU scored on its first five possessions, building a 30-0 halftime lead. The Bison rushed for 230 yards in the half that included Kobe Johnson’s school-record 97-yard touchdown run.

No. 2 NDSU (8-0, 5-0 MVFC) will travel to Brookings, SD on Saturday for a showdown with No. 9 South Dakota State. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. with the Bison trying to regain the Dakota Marker.
