NDSU’s Volson Named To The AFCA FCS All-America First Team

     On Wednesday, December 22 the American Football Coaches Association named North Dakota State right tackle Cordell Volson to the FCS All-America First Team.

     This is Volson’s fifth All-America honor this season. He was also named to the All-America first team by HERO Sports, Stats Perform, Athlon Sports, and The Associated Press.

     Additionally Volson was named to the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference first team for the third straight season. He has played in a school-record 64 games including playing in the last 54 games with 40 straight starts. Volson is leading the Bison offensive line with NDSU ranking third in the FCS in rushing per game with 273.6 yards.

     The No. 2 seeded NDSU Bison (13-1) will square off with No. 8 seed Montana State (12-2) in the NCAA Division I Football Championship Game on Saturday, January 8 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas with kickoff scheduled for 11 a.m.
