UND’s Driscoll Is The NCHC Goaltender Of The Month

After taking home the NCHC Goaltender of the Week honor three times this past month, senior goaltender Zach Driscoll has now been named the NCHC Goaltender of the Month for February, the league announced.

The Apple Valley, Minn., native dominated the competition for all of February for the No. 4 Fighting Hawks. He had a 7-1 record, with a .941 save percentage, and a 1.74 goals against average (GAA) that included one shutout. Five of his seven wins came against top 20 ranked opponents.

Driscoll is currently riding the longest winning streak of his collegiate career at six games. He also made at least 33 saves three times, including a season-high 36 saves at then No. 7 Minnesota Duluth. During his six game winning streak Driscoll has helped UND sweep Colorado College, Minnesota Duluth (first time since 2015), and Western Michigan.

This season Driscoll is 19-9-1 overall with a 2.37 GAA, and a .907 save percentage. He also has two shutouts between the pipes.

North Dakota will wrap up the regular season at Omaha this weekend beginning on Friday at 7:07 p.m. UND can secure a third straight Penrose Cup with one win or a Denver loss this weekend.
