Logan Williams Is The Summit League Player Of The Week

After dominating Northern Colorado this past weekend, Logan Williams has been named the TicketSmarter Summit League Player of the Week.

Williams helped lead the NDSU baseball to a road series sweep over the Bears, extending the team's winning streak to six games. In three games he hit a team-high four home runs and tallied 11 RBI. Throughout the weekend he had a .429 batting average with six hits, five runs, and 18 total bases.

Williams put an exclamation point on the weekend in yesterday afternoon’s 15-1 win. He hit two grand slams, driving in a career-high eight runs. His eight RBI were the most in a single game in the Division I era, one RBI shy of the program record of nine in a single game.

Williams is now the third Bison this season to be honored with a Summit League weekly honor, joining Tristen Roehrich and Evan Sankey who each won Summit League Pitcher of the Week earlier this season.

The Bison will return to the diamond on Friday at Western Illinois. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.
