A Trio of NDSU Bison Have Landed on the MVFC All-Newcomer Team

     North Dakota State redshirt freshmen linebacker Logan Kopp, defensive tackle Jaxon Duttenhefer, and defensive end Kole Menz have all been named to the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Newcomer Team. The team is selected by a vote of the conference’s head coaches, media, and sports information directors.

     Kopp has played in all 11 games this season, including making one start in a victory over Illinois State. He tallied a season-high seven tackles twice against Illinois State and North Carolina A&T. On the season Kopp has racked up 31 total tackles and two interceptions.

     Duttenhefer has played in all 11 games, while also being the third-leading tackler on the defensive line. He has totaled 24 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks. Duttenhefer has also picked up three quarterback hurries and forced one fumble. He made a season-high five tackles in a victory over Southern Illinois.

     Menz has appeared in all 11 games this season at defensive end. On the year he has tallied seven tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss.

     No. 3 seeded North Dakota State (9-2) will host the No. 17 ranked Montana Grizzlies (8-4) in the second round of the NCAA Division I Football Championship on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m.
