University of North Dakota men’s hockey freshman forward Jackson Blake has been named to the 2023 U.S. National Junior Team preliminary roster.

The team of 32 players will gather for a training camp at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich., from Dec. 12-17.

Players are training for a spot on the final 23-player roster that will represent the United States in the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship from Dec. 26, 2022 - Jan. 5, 2023. The tournament will take place in Moncton, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The United States has medaled in five of the last seven World Junior tournaments.

Blake has dominated all season for the Fighting Hawks, tied for the team lead with 19 points in only 17 games. He ranks second on the team with nine goals and has tallied six multi-point nights.

His current eight game point streak is the longest by a North Dakota freshman since Shane Pinto did so in 2019-20.
