Fargo Force’s Cole Knuble Named World Junior A Challenge MVP

Three Fargo Force members were a part of Team USA at the World Junior A Challenge held last week (December 11-18) in Ontario, Canada. Defenseman Joe Palodichuk and Forwards Cole Knuble and Mac Swanson. The tournament is for players that play junior league hockey, Team USA players currently play in the United States Hockey League, the only Tier I junior hockey league in the U.S.

Team USA finished the tournament 5-0-0-1, including a 5-2 victory over Canada East in the Championship game.  Fargo’s Cole Knuble was named team captain and brought home extra hardware as he was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Knuble’s award was the first time in nine years that an American has won the honor.

Knuble and his Team USA teammates Palodichuk and Swanson return to the ice with Force on December 29th as they kick off a three-game home series against the Des Moines Buccaneers at Scheels Arena.
