On Monday evening the Cincinnati Bengals were hosting the Buffalo Bills in a Week 17 matchup that had playoff implications on the line… With 5:58 remaining in the first quarter the game came to a halt after an injury that immediately became more severe.
Bills safety Damar Hamlin tackled Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins after a reception. Hamlin would get up and moments later collapse before medical personnel tended to him.
Minutes later he was placed in an ambulance and transported to a local Cincinnati area hospital.
The NFL has confirmed Hamlin is currently in critical condition.
My prayers are going out to Damar Hamlin, his family, and the Buffalo Bills organization.
