(Chicago, IL) -- A Chicago White Sox pitcher is beginning his last dose of cancer treatment. Liam Hendriks posted a video on social media and said, "I'm starting my last round of chemo today, so I'll see you guys on the South Side soon." The message played on the scoreboard at Guaranteed Rate field before the team's home opener against the Giants.

The closer began treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma back in January and avoided the 60-day injured list to start the season. General manager Rick Hahn said there was still no timetable for Hendriks to return.

The 34-year-old had a 2.81 ERA last season with 37 saves and was named to his third-career All-Star game.
