With the playoffs looming, the Minnesota Wild are looking for a spark heading into the final four games of the regular season. And… They officially got it with the return of star winger Kirill Kaprizov. The news broke on a Minnesota Wild press release that read, “he’s back”.
Kaprizov missed just over a month due to a lower body injury. This season he has played in 65 games totaling 74 points on 39 goals and 35 assists.
Additionally, the Wild will be without Center Joel Eriksson Ek for the remainder of the regular season. Eriksson Ek left Thursday night’s loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins after being hit by an Evgeni Malkin shot. He is currently listed as week-to-week with a lower body injury.
Minnesota will return to the Xcel Energy Center on Saturday night to take on the St. Louis Blues with puck drop set for 7 p.m. in Kaprizov’s return to the lineup.
