SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Madi Hicks has been named the Summit League Women’s Golf Newcomer of the Year, the league office announced on Thursday afternoon.

Hicks registered a 75.7 average over 32 rounds, which ranked second on team this season. Her 75.7 average was tied for the lowest among freshmen in the Summit League. The Victoria, Minn., native recorded a team-best five top 10 finishes, including three straight to close the season.

She carded a career-low 215 to earn her first top five finish at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate coming in tied for fifth place. Hicks closed the season posting a 54-hole total of 219 to finish tied for ninth place at the Summit League Championship, which was tied for the second lowest among freshmen.
