Tkachuk Ends 6th Longest NHL Game for 1-0 Panthers Series Lead

Florida's Matthew Tkachuk scored with just 12.7 seconds remaining in the fourth overtime to lead the Panthers past the Hurricanes 3-2 in Raleigh. Tkachuk's goal put an end to the sixth-longest game in NHL history and gave Florida a 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference Final.  

Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe also scored for the Panthers, while Sergei Bobrovsky made a staggering 63 saves in net. Seth Jarvis and Stefan Noesen found the back of the net for Carolina in the losing effort. Frederik Andersen had 57 saves for the 'Canes.  

The teams will return to the ice for Game Two on Saturday night at 7:00 PM.
