(Atlanta, GA) -- The Twins will be missing one of their relievers for the rest of the 2023 season. The team announced yesterday that Jose De Leon will have Tommy John surgery for the second time in his career after injuring his elbow while warming up during Minnesota's loss to Detroit on Saturday.
The 30-year-old appeared in 12 games for the Twins this season. He went 0-1 with a 4.67 ERA.
