Twins crushed by Orioles, head into All Star break under .500

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Twins are heading into the All-Star break on a sour note following a 15-2 loss to the Orioles at Target Field.

Minnesota got out to a quick 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but Baltimore plated seven runs in the fifth and six runs in the sixth to take control of the contest. The Twins surrendered six home runs in the losing effort. Edouard Julien had a double, a home run, and two RBI in the losing effort, while Joe Ryan was charged with his sixth loss.

Minnesota is in second place in the AL Central at 45-46 at the All-Star break. The Twins begin a series in Oakland after the break on Friday.

In other team news, starting pitcher Pablo Lopez was named to the American League All-Star roster as a replacement over the weekend.
