(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota United blew two second-half leads during a 3-2 loss to the Chicago Fire in their Leagues Cup group stage match at Allianz Field.
Bongokuhle Hlongwane scored in the 62nd minute and the 73rd minute, but the Fire responded with quick goals after each score. Chicago took the lead in the 83rd minute on a kick from Kei Kamara.
The knock-out stage of the Leagues Cup is up next for Minnesota.
