FARGO, ND— The Fargo Force are excited to announce the addition of Jackson Keane as Assistant Coach for the 2023-24 season.

Jackson Keane is coming to Fargo with a year of coaching under his belt at Assistant Coach for the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

“I’m very honored and exited to be joining the force staff this season,” commented Keane. “Fargo is an organization that has proved they have strong championship culture with an excellent ability to help players move onto the next level. I’m really looking forward to help add to the tradition.”

A native of Denver, Colorado, Keane played youth hockey for the Winnipeg Monarchs from 2010-2013 before joining the Winnipeg Blues from 2013-2015. He played 2 seasons in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers from 2015-2017 donning the “A” for the muskies during his second season. Keane spent the 2017-18 season with the BCHL's Penticton Vees, there he collected eight goals and 24 points in 49 games and added four goals and two assists in 11 playoff games. He played three years for the University of North Dakota from 2018-2021. He joined the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL at the end of the 2020-21 season. In 2021-22 he played 40 games for the Orlando Solar Bears where he tallied 11 assists.

“We are excited to get Jackson on board to help in the development process for our players,” said Fargo Force Head Coach Brett Skinner. “He has come up himself through the USHL and is familiar with the state playing up the road at UND for his college hockey. His leadership qualities and high character will be great to have around our players on a daily basis. He will be able to wear a few different hats for us, coaching, scouting and helping with different skills sessions which will not only be great for the team but his own personal development as a young coach.”

The 2023-24 Fargo Force Season kicks off at home on Saturday, September 30th at 6:05 p.m.
