Taylor, Gray lead Twins past Cardinals

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Twins took the rubber match of their three-game series against the Cardinals 5-3 at Busch Stadium yesterday.

Sonny Gray had one of his best starts of the season, giving up two runs while striking out eight in seven inning to earn his fifth win. Ryan Jeffers and Michael A. Taylor homered during a four-run second inning, and Taylor finished the day with three RBI. Jhoan Duran earned his 19th save as the Twins extended their AL Central lead to 2.5 games over Cleveland at 56-54.

Bailey Ober starts for Minnesota against Arizona tonight.
