Twins blank White Sox

(Chicago, IL) — The Minnesota Twins took three of four from the White Sox following a 4-0 win in the series finale in Chicago.

Sonny Gray earned his eighth win of the season after striking out six and giving up just five hits in seven scoreless frames. Edouard Julien hit a three-run home run to break a scoreless tie in the fifth, and Jorge Polanco added a solo shot in the eighth. The Twins have a seven game lead in the AL Central, and their magic number is six.

Dylan Cease was charged with his eighth loss after allowing three runs on four hits in six innings. The Southsiders have dropped five of their last six games.

The Twins are now off to Cincinnati to battle the Reds for a three game series beginning on Monday with first pitch set for 5:40 p.m. Joe Ryan will be on the mound for Minnesota.
