(Cincinnati,OH)-- The Minnesota Twins came back in the 9th inning to beat the Reds 5-3 at Great American Ball Park
The Twins were down 2-0 through six when Willi Castro took Reds pitcher Hunter Greene deep to make it a 2-1 game. The teams each scored runs in the 8th to make it 3-2 Reds heading to the 9th. The Twins offense then came to life as they scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning off RBI singles by Kyle Farmer and Jorge Polanco. Griffin Jax shut the door in the ninth to get the Twins their 81st win on the season. The magic number for the Twins is down to two and could drop to one if the Royals beat the Guardians today.
The Twins are off tomorrow before starting a three game series against the Los Angeles Angels, Pablo López will get the ball for Minnesota.
