(Abu Dhabi, UAE) — The Timberwolves got off to a quick start during a 111-99 preseason win over the Dallas Mavericks in Abu Dhabi yesterday.
The Wolves outscored Dallas 37-19 in the first quarter and led by as many as 29 points in the victory. Karl-Anthony Towns had 20 points in 17 minutes, and Naz Reid poured in 16. The Wolves are 1-0 in exhibition play.
They take on the Mavericks in Abu Dhabi again Saturday at 11 a.m.
