Wolves drop season opener to Raptors

(Toronto, ON) -- The Timberwolves struggled to knock down shots during a 97-94 loss to the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena.

The game was tied at 84 with six-and-a-half minutes left in regulation, but the Raptors went on a 9-2 run to take control. The Wolves shot just 34 percent from the field in the losing effort. Anthony Edwards led the way with 26 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 19. Minnesota hasn't won in Toronto since 2004.

The 0-1 Wolves host the Heat on Saturday.
