(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild weren’t able to climb out of a three-goal hole during a 5-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils at the Xcel Energy Center.
The Devils had a three-goal lead before Kirill Kaprizov and Marco Rossi scored for Minnesota to make it a one-goal game early in the third period. The two teams traded goals before the Devils put the game away with an empty-netter in the final minute. Jake Middleton also scored for Minnesota.
The Wild have lost four in a row. They’re tied for fifth place in the Central Division with eight points and a 3-5-2 record. Minnesota hosts the Rangers on Saturday.
