Timberwolves crush short-handed Pelicans

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Timberwolves had a huge second half during their 122-101 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at the Target Center.

The Wolves outscored New Orleans 44-20 in the second to take a 28-point lead at halftime. Minnesota led by as many as 31 points in the victory. Anthony Edwards led the way with 26 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns poured in 23. Rudy Gobert had a double-double with 17 points and 21 boards.

The Wolves are on a four-game winning streak and have a 5-2 record. Minnesota visits San Antonio Friday night.
