(Eagan, MN) -- Joshua Dobbs is earning accolades after his first game in Purple.

The new Vikings quarterback was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week yesterday.  Dobbs led Minnesota to a 31-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday. He entered the contest after starter Jaren Hall left with a concussion in the first quarter, and he finished the game with 158 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air, with 66 yards and a score on the ground. Dobbs had been acquired by Minnesota just five days before the game. He'll look to make it two-in-a-row when he makes his first start with the team against the Saints on Sunday.

In other team news, the Vikings designated wide receiver Justin Jefferson to return from injured reserve, and he was a limited participant in practice yesterday.
