Force Split Weekend Series With USNDTP

USA Hockey NTDP became the first team to earn a regulation win over Fargo this year by beating the Force 5-4 in Michigan, Friday night. Michael Neumeier scored a  power play goal at 18:19 of the third tied the game once again, but the NTDP scored the winning goal when James Hagens beat Anton Castro for his second of the game with three seconds remaining.

The Fargo Force looked to rebound after their first regulation loss of the season to the U18 squad and get back on the winning side of the column. It wasn’t easy as the Force had to net the equalizer in the 3rd to force the extra session. The teams would go scoreless in the extra time and be forced to go to a shootout. It only took the minimum three rounds as Mac Swanson would be the only goal scorer and give Fargo their 14th win of the season. Fargo had the games 1st Star as Mac Swanson took home the honor.

The Force are on the road on Wednesday, November 22nd at Sioux City before returning back to Fargo to host the Chicago Steel on the 24th and 25th in a weekend series at Scheels Arena. The Force remain atop the Western Conference leading second place Sioux City by 5 points.
