(Nashville, TN) -- The Twins might have a healthy Byron Buxton to start out the 2024 season.

President of baseball operations Derek Falvey told reporters at the Winter Meetings that Buxton is fully recovered from a surgery that he had on his right knee in October. The lingering injury prevented Buxton from playing in the outfield during the 2023 season. He was limited to being the team's designated hitter, and even then he still missed the final two months of the regular season.

Falvey said that Buxton is already able to do things now that he wasn't able to do in 2023.

Buxton hit just .207 with 17 home runs and 42 RBI in 85 appearances last year.
