Timberwolves bring down Lakers

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Timberwolves were able to get back in the win column with a 118-111 win over the LeBron James-less Lakers at the Target Center.

After the Lakers got out to an early seven-point lead, Minnesota led for most of the final three quarters. Anthony Edwards poured in 27 points in the victory, while Karl-Anthony Towns chipped in with 21 points. Rudy Gobert added a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards to go along with three blocks.

The Wolves are still on top of the Western Conference at 21-6. Minnesota visits Sacramento on Saturday night.
