(Minneapolis, MN) — The Twins are shaking up their 40-man roster.
The team officially announced the weekend signings of first baseman Carlos Santana and reliever Jay Jackson yesterday. Additionally, Minnesota claimed right-handed relief pitcher Zack Weiss off waivers from Boston. To make room for the three new players, Minnesota designated outfielder Bubba Thompson and relievers Jordan Balazovic and Daniel Duarte for assignment.
Twins pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training next week.
