Lewis, DeSclafani to miss significant time for Twins

(Kansas City, MO) — The Minnesota Twins will be without one of their best players for at least a month.

The team announced over the weekend that Royce Lewis suffered a severe quad strain during Minnesota’s Opening Day win over the Royals. Lewis will be re-evaluated in a month to get a clearer picture of how much more recovery time he will need. Lewis had a home run and a single before exiting the contest. Meanwhile, starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani will miss the 2024 season after having flexor tendon surgery on his pitching arm.
