Per ESPN and NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport, the Kansas City Chiefs are signing QB Carson Wentz.
It will be a one year deal, with Wentz backing up All-Pro QB Patrick Mahommes. The Chiefs will be his fifth team in as many years (Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders, and Los Angeles Rams). The 31-year-old played in two games last season for the Rams completing 17 of 24 passes for 163 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Additionally, the 2016 No. 2 overall pick finished third in MVP voting in the 2017 season.
In 8 NFL seasons, Wentz has a 47-45-1 record while completing 62.7 percent of his passes for 22,292 yards with 153 touchdowns and 67 interceptions.
