Wolves edge Nuggets in Game One

(Denver, CO) -- The Timberwolves have taken an early 1-0 lead in their Western Conference Semifinals series.

Minnesota edged the defending champion Nuggets 106-99 in Denver to claim the first contest in the best-of-seven series on Saturday. Anthony Edwards led all scorers with a career-high 43 playoff points and grabbed seven rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns netted 20 points, while Rudy Gobert corralled a game-high 13 rebounds to go with six points. The NBA's Sixth Man of the Year award winner Naz Reid sunk 14 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter.
