Stanley Cup Final Game 2 recap

(Sunrise, FL) — The Panthers are two wins away from hoisting their first-ever Stanley Cup.

Florida silenced the Oilers 4-1 in Sunrise to take a 2-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final. Evan Rodrigues scored a pair of goals in the third, which included the game-winner just three minutes into the period. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 18-of-19 shots to secure the victory.

More than 90-percent of teams that go up 2-0 in the Final have gone on to win the best-of-seven series.

Mattias Ekholm netted the lone goal for the Oilers. Stuart Skinner made 24-of-27 saves as the series shifts to Edmonton for Game Three Thursday night.
