Bison Women’s Basketball ranked No. 1 in College Insider Mid-Major Poll for first time in program history

The North Dakota State women’s basketball team is ranked No. 1 in this week’s College Insider Mid-Major Poll. The Bison received 22 first place votes and have been ranked in the poll for nine consecutive weeks. This is the first time in program history NDSU women’s hoops are ranked No. 1 in the poll.

The Bison enter the week with a record of 20-2 on the season and a perfect 9-0 in Summit League play. NDSU has won 18 consecutive games. South Dakota State (No. 10) and South Dakota (No. 24) join the Bison in this week’s poll.

NDSU is scheduled to visit Kansas City on Thursday evening with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.

The Mid-Major Poll is made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Coastal Athletic, Conference USA, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast, Western Athletic.
