On Wednesday, August 13 the Pohlad family released a statement on the status of the Minnesota Twins franchise. Over the course of the past several months the family was in search of a partner to sell the franchise to, but interest has dwindled in recent weeks.
In the release the Pohlad’s announced that the family will continue to remain the principal owner of the franchise. However, they will be in search of “adding two significant limited partnership groups, each of whom will bring a wealth of experience and share out family values”.
The Pohlad’s added that the family is committed to building a winning team and culture for the region that Twins fan are proud to cheer for.
