(Boston, MA) — The Boston Celtics are once again sitting alone atop the mountain.
The C’s took down the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 to win Game Five of the NBA Finals and clinch their 18th championship. Boston moves past the Los Angeles Lakers for the most titles in league history. Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 31 points to go along with 11 assists and eight rebounds. Jaylen Brown chipped in with 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists. He was also named Bill Russell Finals MVP.
Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 28 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double. Kyrie Irving came within one assist of a double-double after scoring 15 points.
