Crooked seventh inning costs Twins in loss to Guardians

The Minnesota Twins fell to the Cleveland Guardians 4-2 on Wednesday night. The Twins gave up all four runs in the seventh inning.

Pablo Lopez gave up two runs over 6 ⅓ innings and was tagged with the loss. Brock Stewart gave up a three-run homer while only recording two outs in relief. Danny Coulombe tossed a shutout inning out of the bullpen.

In the sixth inning Byron Buxton stole the 100th base of his career. He became only the third player in franchise history to surpass 100 career stolen bases and 100 career home runs. Brooks Lee hit a solo home run for Minnesota.

The Twins and Guardians will wrap up their four game series this afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 12:10 p.m. and game coverage available nationally on MLB Network. Simeon Woods Richardson will get the nod for Minnesota while Ben Lively counters for Cleveland.
