(Manhattan, NY) — Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores is moving forward with his lawsuit against the NFL and three teams after a federal appeals court ruling.
Judge Valerie Caproni ruled the NFL’s arbitration process, led by Commissioner Roger Goodell, was biased and violated federal law. Flores alleges racial bias in hiring, including “sham interviews” under the Rooney Rule by the Denver Broncos, New York Giants, and Houston Texans. He also claims the Dolphins’ owner offered him $100,000 per loss to improve draft position.
The NFL says it disagrees with the decision and plans to appeal.
