Four unanswered goals propel Wild past Blackhawks in shootout

The Minnesota Wild scored four unanswered goals en route to a 4-3 shootout victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night.

Yakov Trenin, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Jared Spurgeon each scored a goal in regulation. Kirill Kaprizov scored the only shootout goal. Eriksson Ek, Matt Boldy, Marcus Johansson, Quinn Hughes, and Daemon Hunt added an assist apiece.

Jesper Wallstedt saved 29 of the 32 shots he faced between the pipes. The Wild improved to a record of 30-14-10 on the season.

Minnesota will now host the Calgary Flames on Thursday with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. with game coverage available on FanDuel Sports Network North.
