(Silvis, IL) — Hayden Springer is sitting atop the leaderboard after the first round of the John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run. Springer shot a 12 under 59 in the opening round and leads the field by two strokes.
Sami Valimaki is in second place at 10 under par. Eric Cole is in third at nine under. Harry Hall, Davis Thompson, Luke Clanton and Chan Kim are in a four-way tie for fourth place at eight under par. Defending champ Sepp Straka is tied for 27th at five under.
Chandler Phillips, Henrik Norlander and Ryo Hisatsune will be among the first group of players teeing off the second round of the tournament on Friday morning at 6:45 a.m.
