Lynx improve WNBA-best record with win over Sky

A dominant second quarter powered the Minnesota Lynx to an 80-75 victory over the Chicago Sky on Sunday evening. The Sky led 24-10 after the first quarter followed by the Lynx’s 28-13 run in the second quarter.

Courtney Williams powered Minnesota with 25 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Napheesa Collier added 21 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Kayla McBride chipped in 11 points followed by Diamond Miller’s 10 points off the bench.

Minnesota improved to a WNBA-best record of 17-2.

The Lynx will now hit the road to begin a four-game road trip on Wednesday in Phoenix to battle the Mercury. Tip-off will be at noon.
