McCarthy leads Vikings past Cowboys on Sunday Night Football

The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Dallas Cowboys 34-26 on Sunday Night Football.

J.J. McCarthy completed 15-of-24 passes for 250 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Jordan Addison (two receptions) and T.J. Hockenson (four receptions) each had 66 receiving yards for Minnesota. Jalen Nailor caught three passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns.

Aaron Jones Sr. paced Minnesota’s rushing core with 12 carries for 34 yards while Jordan Mason had 10 rushes for 29 yards. McCarthy ran the ball four times for 15 yards with one touchdown. C.J. Ham added a rushing touchdown.

Will Reichard was perfect in the kicking game, knocking down all four extra points and both field goals of 29 yards and 53 yards.

Blake Cashman led the defense with 11 tackles. Eric Wilson and Josh Metellus each added seven tackles in the win.

The Purple improved to a record of 6-8 on the season. The Vikings will now visit the New York Giants on Sunday, December 21 with the opening kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. and game coverage available on FOX.
