NDSU’s Koenen earns another Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honor

On Tuesday, February 10, the Summit League office announced North Dakota State Junior forward, Avery Koenen, as the league’s Peak Performer of the Week for the seventh time this season.

Koenen played a large role in NDSU’s wins over Kansas City and Omaha. The Bison are now 22-2 overall on the season and 11-0 in Summit League play. In the two victories she totaled 23 points (11.5 points per game), 22 rebounds (11 rebounds per game), five assists, four blocks, and two steals.

So far this season, she ranked Top 10 in double-doubles with 16 (second), field goal percentage at 65 percent (third), free throw attempts with 173 (eighth), and rebounds with 266 (ninth).

Koenen and the Bison will head north to Grand Forks to battle the University of North Dakota on Sunday with the tip-off scheduled for 1 p.m.
