Oilers edge Panthers in OT to take 1-0 Stanley Cup Final series lead

(Edmonton, AB) — Leon Draisaitl opened and closed the scoring as the Oilers took Game One of the Stanley Cup Final over the Panthers. Draisaitl’s ninth goal of the postseason was the game-winner with Edmonton topping Florida 4-3 in overtime. Sam Bennett scored a pair of goals for Florida.

The Oilers have now won four of their last five games played in the Cup Final. Edmonton now leads the best of seven series 1-0.

The defending champs hope to bounce back when the Panthers battle the Oilers for Game Two Friday night in Edmonton.
