RedHawks blitzed by Monarchs in series finale

The Fargo-Moorehead RedHawks fell to the Kansas City Monarchs 25-9 in their series finale. The Monarchs scored the game’s first 11 runs enroute to the convincing victory.

The RedHawks were lead by Dillon Thomas, who went 2-for-4 with five runs batted in, which included a three-run home run in the seventh inning. Jesus Lujano, Tripp Clark and Brian Fuentes also had multi-hit games in the loss.

The RedHawks fell to 10-15 on the season. The RedHawks return to action tonight against the Winnipeg Goldeyes and debut their new alternate identity, The Fargo Woodchippers.  This is the first of five games the RedHawks will don this moniker, based on the reference to the Coen Brother’s 1996 film, “Fargo”. More information can be found about the Woodchippers identity at FargoWoodchippers.com.
