The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks took their series rubber match from the Sioux Falls Canaries 9-5 on Mother’s Day. The RedHawks scored three runs in each of the first three innings to propel the victory.
Juan Fernandez hit his first home run of the season and drove in three runs. Eric Meza added a home run and two RBI. Michael Hallquist, Peter Brookshaw, Marcus Chui, and Alexfri Planez all picked up an RBI.
Greg Minier tossed five innings, giving up two runs and earning the victory. Kyles Johnston gave up three runs in two innings out of the bullpen. Parker Harm and Alex DuBord tossed a shutout inning apiece in relief.
The RedHawks will now welcome the Kane County Cougars to Newman Outdoor Field for a series beginning on Monday night at 7:02 p.m.
