Report: Vikings place OG Risner on IR

(Eagan, MN) — The Minnesota Vikings will be without one of their starting guards to begin the 2024 NFL season.

Adam Schefter is reporting that the team placed Dalton Risner on injured reserve on Monday. Risner will have to miss the first four games of the season before he is eligible to return. The sixth-year veteran started in 11 of his 15 appearances last season.

In other Purple news, the Vikings cut 14 players from their roster on Monday. The team must trim the roster down to 53 players by 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
