On Monday, May 18 ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the NFL is expecting to be awarding the city of Minneapolis as the location for the 2028 NFL Draft. The city is expected to be awarded the event at this week’s league meetings.
Schefter’s report added that the NFL’s fan engagement and major events committees have been working with Minneapolis and the Minnesota Vikings on the plans for hosting the 2028 Draft. All other NFC North teams have hosted previous drafts in Chicago, Detroit, and Green Bay.

The 2027 NFL Draft is scheduled be be hosted by the Washington Commanders in Washington D.C.
