The Minnesota Twins dropped a pitchers duel to the Houston Astros 2-1 on Tuesday night.
Zebby Matthews gave up two runs over six innings of work with six strikeouts, but was eventually tagged with the loss. Anthony Banda tossed a shutout inning in relief. Travis Adams threw a pair of scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
Josh Bell drove in the Twins’ lone run, increasing his season RBI total to 29. Minnesota racked up eight hits, but struggled with runners in scoring position going 1-7.

The Twins fell to a record of 22-27 on the season. The Twins and Astros will conclude their series on Wednesdat afternoon at 12:40 p.m. with full game coverage available on Twins.TV. Joe Ryan will be on the mound for Minnesota while Mike Burrows counters for Houston.
