Twins drop series finale to Brewers; Ends winning streak at 13 games

The Minnesota Twins’ 13 game winning streak came to an end with a 5-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday afternoon.

Zebby Matthews gave up four runs with five strikeouts over three innings in his first start of the 2025 season. Matthews was tagged with the loss. Minnesota’s bullpen only gave up one run over six innings of work.

Royce Lewis hit a solo home run, his first of the season. Brooks Lee also drove in a run.

The Twins will now return home to Target Field to begin a homestand on Monday night They are hosting the Cleveland Guardians with first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Bailey Ober will get the nod for Minnesota.
