(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins had their six-game winning streak snapped with a 3-2 ten-inning loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Target Field.
Royce Lewis hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth to give Minnesota a 2-1 lead, but Tampa Bay tied it up in the seventh before a throwing error by Lewis allowed the Rays to score the game-winning run in the tenth. Jorge Alcala was charged with his second loss in relief. The Twins fell to 41-33.
Minnesota will send Simeon Woods Richardson to the mound against Tampa Bay on Thursday afternoon beginning at 12:10 p.m.
